LJ Sentivanac, Author's Biography

Photograph of the author

Linda Sentivanac writes under the pen name of LJ Sentivanac. mostly for the sake of brevity.

She was born in Chicago, but moved with her family to Phoenix, Arizona, when she was three ... and she never moved out of the state. College-educated at Northern Arizona University and the University of Arizona (with one fun semester at the University of Hawaii), she received a bachelor's degree in fashion merchandising and clothing design.

After a twenty-six-year career in fashion merchandising, she moved to Sedona, Arizona, to celebrate a quieter lifestyle. While working in various jobs, she made time to write her debut novel, The Christmas Puppy, a dramatic family story, fashioned loosely after holiday television movies.

Her love for the creative process grew, which drew her to pen the dramatic story of lost love, My Father's Bride, which deals with modern challenges, such as spousal and elder abuse. The novel was published on Amazon in December of 2025.

Changing genre, she is currently working on a murder mystery with a sexy and humorous twist, hoping to release it in early 2026. Watch here for more details!

In addition to writing and reading, Linda enjoys Texas Hold'em Poker (especially tournament play), online card games, and travel. Within the last two years, she has made two extended trips to Europe, including France, Switzerland, Portugal, Hungary, Germany, and Austria. In the US, she frequently visits Colorado, and the Arizona mountains (yes, it's not all desert), but has enjoyed the West Coast, the Northwest (even up into Canada), Montana, Utah, and New Mexico. Last summer, a love affair with Santa Fe bloomed after spending a month in a casita near the Plaza, which will be repeated next summer.

A new activity has brought Linda out of her shell--speaking at book clubs and open mic sessions. Discussing the writer's process enhances her connection with readers.
